Catholic Schools Week, an annual celebration of the important role that Catholic elementary and high schools play in the lives of students, is coming up soon. During this special week, students, parents, grandparents, friends and supporters will have an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the value of Catholic schools.

The 201-2012 Catholic Schools Week happens January 29, 2012 – February 4, 2012. This special week was officially started in 1974 as a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Academics. Service..”

Open Houses
Catholic elementary schools and high schools across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati are preparing for a very important event for parents and their children — the schools' annual open houses.

Schools welcome prospective students and their parents to visit their campuses, tour their facilities, meet with faculty and staff and learn about the curriculum and activities. The schools also showcase new programs or facilities and teachers often conduct demonstrations in their classrooms. In addition, visitors are able to obtain information on clubs and other extracurricular activities.

To find out when open houses are planned or to schedule a tour with your child, contact a school near you.
