The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Schools are committed to providing current and potential families with up-to-date information about the news and activities within our schools. To accomplish this, we are actively using social media tools in addition to traditional forms of communication. You can now easily follow us on Facebook and we appreciate your comments on our blog.
I am very pleased to announce some additional information about the upcoming Visioning Sessions for the Catholic schools (if you have not yet read my last post about the visioning process, I advise you to do so). Our Visioning Sessions are designed to be one of the key ways of gathering the insights, opinions, and observations of those who care about our schools. It is critical that our vision reflect the needs of the people of the Archdiocese. Our vision for the Catholic schools will not be the vision of a single individual or committee. Rather, our vision will represent the composite of as many people as possible, and will reflect the calling of Christ and the Church to the ministry of Catholic education.
A series of Visioning Sessions will take place over the coming months. The initial sessions, which will begin in May, will target Pastors, Principals, and other parish and school leaders. In June, we will be hosting three sessions that are open to the general public. All are invited to attend, regardless of your relationship to a Catholic school. If you attend a session, be prepared to share your observations of our schools and your opinions on future directions of the schools in the Archdiocese. We do ask, however, that all thoughts be shared in a spirit of optimism and mutual Christian respect.
The information for the three initial Visioning Sessions (that are open to the public) is as follows:
June 7: LaSalle Catholic High School, 5:30-8:00 PM
June 8: Moeller Catholic High School, 5:30-8:00 PM
June 9: St. Christopher Catholic School (Vandalia), 5:30-8:00 PM
Light refreshments will be served at all sessions. More Visioning Sessions will be held in later months (during the 2011-2012 school year).
I do hope that you will pick a Visioning Session to attend. Once again, your insights are vital as we construct our vision for the future of our schools.
