Testimonial:

We put a good deal of thought into where our children attended grade school. We explored all of our options: public, private, Catholic and other Christian schools. All Saints was our last school visit. We had pretty much made up our minds to go elsewhere and were just checking the box by making this final visit on the list. That’s when the Holy Spirit stepped in and took the reins! We were given a tour by the Assistant Principal. As we toured the school, she warmly greeted each student by name. We also had the opportunity to meet the Principal. She clearly articulated her vision for the school. A strong, academic environment that is rich in spirituality. As we were rounding the second grade corner, we heard a teacher ask, “Jimmy, what does it mean to be a friend?” There was a pause, and then the student answered. We were impressed! This type of environment does not manifest itself overnight. It is the result of years of hard work, attention to detail, and the caring spirit of its faculty. The faculty set All Saints apart. You will not find a higher quality, more cohesive group of caring professionals anywhere. The All Saints faculty see their teaching positions here as their vocations. We have been blessed to be part of All Saints School.

Alumni Description:

I transferred to All Saints when my family moved to the area during my sixth grade year. The staff, faculty and students of All Saints received me warmly, and the education and values I received helped me succeed in high school and beyond. I am still good friends with a number of my All Saints classmates and I’m proud that my nieces have been able to attend All Saints as well.” Fr. Paul is a 1976 graduate of All Saints School and a priest in the Congregation of the Holy Cross. Fr. Paul Kollman is currently an Assistant Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. He received his Masters of Divinity in 1990 from the University of Notre Dame and his Ph.D. in 2001 from the University of Chicago Divinity School. Currently his area of focus is the history of Christianity and World Religions. He has also taught at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and the Philosophy Centre in Jinja, Uganda, and was previously a fellow of the Erasmus Institute at Notre Dame and a Lilly Fellow for Theological Education at the University of Chicago. He has published numerous articles and reviews. Additionally, he has authored the book The Evangelization of Slaves and Catholic Origins in Eastern Africa (2005). Fr. Overview:

All Saints School, in partnership with the Catholic faith community of All Saints Parish, strives to share the love of God by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through an enriching and challenging learning environment, we nurture students so that they will become compassionate, confident, life-long learners who will make a difference by serving others. We emphasize Catholic Faith formation, academic excellence and service to others. Our students consistently score above national and Archdiocesan averages in standardized testing. All Saints students learn the traditional Catholic forms of prayer, including the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and an annual May Crowning. They attend a daily Morning Prayer assembly, and receive sacramental preparation in the appropriate grades. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated, and during Catholic Schools Week, all students participate in a Retreat Day. We also offer artistic and cultural performances and events, programs such as School Families, Math Counts, Algebra 1, Science Day, Everybody Counts, Art Works, Field Day, Right-to-Read Week, Fine Arts Festival, Christmas Programs, Character Development, DARE, Leadership Training, Spelling Bee, and many more! Our before and after school programs include science, art, band, choir, drama and TaeKwonDo.

History:

Since its doors were first opened in 1954, All Saints School has provided a nurturing environment for its students, rich in spirituality and strong in academics. Originally housing grades 1-8, Kindergarten was added in 1999. At the same time we added a thirty station Computer Lab and expanded the Library. A state of the art Science Lab was added in 2002. As of 2009, all classrooms are now fitted with wall or ceiling-mounted digital projectors to maximize the use of technology in our curriculum by our faculty. A variety of enrichment and extracurricular programs are offered, and many opportunities exist for parents to volunteer and take an active role in their children’s education.

Mission Statement:

All Saints School is the parish school of All Saints Church, in the Kenwood area of Cincinnati, Ohio, serving students in Kinderarten through grade eight. It was accredited through the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association in May, 2003. All Saints follows the prescribed Course of Study provided by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati School Office. Each student is an individual because of his or her unique creation and destiny. Each has divinely given human rights, among which is the right to be educated as a Christian.
