Nestled in the heart of Clifton's Gaslight District you will find Annuncaition Catholic School. Founded in 1914 by the Sisters of Charity the school is home to 165 students in grades preschool through eight. Annunciation is a school that celebrates diversity with a population comprised of children and parents from as many as twenty-six different countries. The diverse popluation and close proximity to the University of Cincinnati makes Annunciation School a unique and desirable educational choice for parents. It is not unsual to see children from India, Mexico, Guatemala, Syria, and South Africa sitting together at a lunch table. Nor is it unsual to hear multiple languages being spoken by parents and grandparents when they gather for the Annual International Festival in May. The school community embraces its multi-cultured student body, believing it is through this diverse environment that a sense of virtue is instilled, respect for every person is fostered, a desire to improve society is sparked and feelings of tolerance and acceptance will flourish.
Annunciation Parish School will be a sign of God’s presence by our commitment to educate students to possess rigorous academic skills and virtuous characters through faith formation, Catholic identity and service to others.
