JP II Catholic School provides an excellent well rounded education. I like it that "extra" subjects that other schools cut, such as high quality art and music programs, physical education, and Spanish as a second language are all offered. The communication between the school and parents is wonderful, and on the website you can check and see what your child's homework is, or skills they need to work on for each grade level. I have found the staff to be caring and very invested in wanting to see my child succeed as an individual. Perhaps the most significant endorsement is that my daughter has been excited every day for the last three years to go to school and is upset if she misses a day ! As a parent, that speaks volumes to me.

The former St. Bartholomew Consolidated has changed its name to John Paul II Catholic School effective July 1, 2008.
John Paul II Catholic School is a regional school in partnership with St. Bartholomew, Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Clare Parishes. Our unique community is made up of students from grades K – 8. Twenty-five dedicated and experienced educators help nurture the children’s love for learning. Our students experience Catholic identity through academics, the arts, service and faith building experiences. Our students excel in the academic program through small class sizes which allows for Individualized attention. A team of specialized educators provide reading, language and math support and enrichment. State-of-the-art technology permeates the building with an updated Computer Lab, Interactive White Boards in classrooms, Laptop Lab, Student Response Units, and Online Grades. The fine arts provide an area for students to shine musically or artistically. We have many extracurricular opportunities for students to be involved: Band, Choir, Academic Clubs, Spanish Classes, Student Council, Scouts, and Sports. Our students are leaders in the community through their service activities. Our students regularly perform in the top 20th percentile on national standardized tests. Our 8th graders traditionally receive over $100,000.00 in scholarships to Catholic high schools. JPII students are enriched academically and spiritually and prepared for a lifetime.
John Paul II Catholic School, formerly St. Bartholomew Consolidated School was built in 1969, in Springfield Township. The school has gone through many changes throughout its history from being a parish school to a consolidated school to a regional school. In 2006, St. Bartholomew Consolidated School opened its doors to a new partnership with Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Clare Parishes. In 2008, the school community decided on a new name thus immortalizing John Paul II. Despite all of the changes this Catholic school has never lost sight that Jesus is at the center of the faculty, students and families in our school community.
In partnership with John Paul II Catholic School parents and parishes, the mission of the school is to nurture and challenge our students to the fullest development of their spiritual, emotional, academic, social, and physical giftedness. This is accomplished through a Catholic, Christian environment grounded in real-life experience, actively engaged in the fulfillment of the commandment of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to "love one another" through immersion in the doctrine and values of our Faith, in community, in service, and in prayer for God, for ourselves, and for all.
