History:

The doors of Sts. Peter and Paul Academy (SPPA) opened August of 2007. A large group of enthusiastic “founders” came together with the goal of keeping the 154-year tradition of Catholic education alive in the Valley of Reading by establishing an elementary school. These founders felt it was important that our youth learn and talk about God everyday. After several fundraisers including raffling off a donated 1966 Corvette, the founders raised enough money to open a private, independent school. The group rented an empty school building in need of repair. They repainted, retiled, re-sanded and refinished the whole building over the summer of 2007. SPPA received its Charter from the Ohio Department of Education in 2008. Sts. Peter and Paul Academy is now in its third year. In October 2009 the Academy purchased the building they had been renting. Also in 2009, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati recognized SPPA as an independent, non-parochial Catholic School and is now affiliated with the Archdiocese. Because of the many spiritual blessings it has received, Sts. Peter and Paul Academy has been called the “Miracle on Clark Road.”
